Peter Marshall

Peter Marshall was a favorite local dad. He was the proud father of three beautiful smart daughters, Zoe, Abby, and Grace, and gregarious soccer coach to kids throughout the Snoqualmie Valley. Peter was the dad with a British accent and a big smile, always wearing shorts and always making kids laugh.

Peter, who suffered from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) as a young man, took a special interest in the Friends for Life Guild. He was active in Guild fundraisers and a good and supportive friend to the North Bend family of Natalie Smith.

Peter passed away in November of 2023, at the age of 64. His daughters inherited Peter’s beautiful smile, as well as his big heart. The girls helped their mom, Lori, care for their dad over a long period of illness.

The Marshall family decided to honor Peter by supporting Friends for Life, and Pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital. The family will be donating funds raised in Peter’s memory to Dr. Todd Cooper, Seattle Children’s Pediatric Leukemia Lymphoma Program Director.

Dr. Cooper is an attending physician at Children’s and professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His expertise focus is on the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of acute leukemia in children.

Thank you to the Marshall family for the honor of this gift in Peter’s memory.
